Product Introduction
Schneider 140NOE77111 Ethernet communication module is seamlessly integrated with the CPU, I/O modules, and other communication modules through backplane electrical connections, enabling the PLC to send and receive data through Ethernet ports and participate in data exchange in different network topologies. 140NOE77111 is the core communication unit that integrates Modicon Quantum PLC with these network environments, allowing the PLC to effectively participate in industrial networks and information systems as a network node.

140NOE77111 How to Integrate with Modicon Quantum PLC
Module slot position
140NOE77111 must be installed in the expansion slot of the Modicon Quantum PLC, usually near the CPU module or in the slot as specified in the rack manual. After being inserted into the rack, it is physically connected to the backplane communication bus. The module obtains power supply from the rack power supply and does not require an additional external power source.
2. Interface
RJ45 port (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX): used for connecting standard industrial Ethernet switches, routers, or directly connected devices.
MT/RJ optical interface (100BASE-FX): used for network connections in long-distance or high-interference environments.
Ethernet basic configuration
1. IP and network topology design
When integrating, it is necessary to configure the correct IP address, subnet mask, a nd gateway for the module so that the Quantum PLC can be recognized by the upper-level system:
The IP address must be consistent with the on-site network planning to avoid conflicts.
The subnet mask determines the network range.
Optionally, a default router can be configured to enable communication between the PLC and systems in different subnets. These basic network parameters are usually configured by network administrators during the system deployment process.
2.PLC Software Integration Configuration:
In Schneider's PLC programming software (such as Unity Pro or Control Expert):
Open the project file and enter the Network Configuration interface.
Add the 140NOE77111 device to the Ethernet network, and specify the module instance and IP parameters. Define Modbus TCP/IP communication or Global Data communication.
