Accelerometers: Accelerometers such as the 2221D work on the principle of the piezoelectric effect. When acceleration acts on the sensor, the internal crystal deforms, generating a voltage. The acceleration is measured by calculating the relationship between voltage and acceleration to achieve the conversion of acceleration to voltage. Meggitt Endevco's accelerometers can meet the harsh shock and vibration test environments, measure DC response or high-frequency bandwidth, can sense low-frequency vibration or high-g shock, and are available in a variety of packaging options.


Pressure Sensors: Its dynamic pressure sensors measure combustion instabilities in gas turbine combustors, detect impending compressor surge or stall, and monitor the combustion process. They can also be used to monitor jet pipe resonance, squeal or hum. These sensors can operate at high temperatures up to +750°C, above the melting temperature of aluminum, and can withstand harsh measurement environments such as liquid oxygen turbo pumps or jet engine combustors.


Inertial Sensors: The new generation of inertial sensors uses micro-machined silicon cells, namely MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems) technology.
